Shopping is what I do best! What kind of girl doesn't? Looking through my closet, I seem to buy the same brands over and over again. I mostly have Uniqlo, banana republic, Mango and Dooney and Bourke. I apparently I have too much clothes and bags, but you can never have too much, right?
I wasn't expecting to have so much Uniqlo clothes, leggings, pants, jeans, shirts, blouse, pajamas, and dresses! Their clothes are different compared to Forever21 and H&M; however I buy items at those stores too. Uniqlo brand is very unique and simple which I like. They have this certain kind of items that are called heattech and airism. Heattech is made by a hygienic material that reserves heat it absorbs, great used for the winter especially in New York. Airism on the other hand is a ultra-fine fabric which takes in moisture instantly, so you will be feeling refreshed, which is perfect to wear during the hot summers. Uniqlo was originated from Japan, now there are so many franchises in the U.S. especially on the east side. I remember buying my first Uniqlo item, which were a pair of jegging, looks and feels like jean but wears like legging, very useful when since I don’t like using the jeans with the buttons on them. Those pair of jeans lasted 2 years, ever since that I just kept buying more and more of it and other items.
Dooney and Bourke is another brand I seem to have a lot in my closet. Usually girls buy bags and then use it a few times and never use it again. I, especially use all the bags I have. I like this brand because it’s a simple bag and is easy to match with your outfit. Plus, it’s not expensive compared to Chanel, Hermes, Gucci and etc. Dooney has nice items and is my kind of style. I try not to buy so much bag or clothes, but I can’t help knowing if I like something I’ll always find my way in getting it, but if it doesn’t it wasn’t meant to be and other items will come along. I never seem to feel guilty when I buy some things, it’s because I know that I will use all of it.

The fast food industry, a book known as the "Fast Food Nation" was written by Eric Schlosser. Everything in this book tells us how it started and what was behind it. Advertising to kids and having teens to work was a major blowout in the fast food companies. A lot of time and hard work was spent in putting the company out there.
Kids advertising was the target in American companies, putting their markets on them, McDonald and Disney would be the one.(p.42) Every advertising there is, it's based on the children. In 1980s knowing that the kids will see it and nag their parents to either giving or bringing them what they want. I used to do that all the time as a child, whenever there's a new plush toy in McDonalds I was so annoying to my parents when I would beg or plead to get me the happy meal. That year experts in the marketing business called it " the decade of the child consumer". (p.43) Parents tend to feel guilty not having enough time spent with their kids, so buying them something was the only option they had in mind. Schlosser mastered presenting ways in advertising, mostly all children spend their time watching T.V. especially at the starting age of two months. Which persuades the children to tell their parents because of the "Playland" in McDonalds. (p.47)
Fast food companies usually have teens working, about 30% are at the age of 16-19. Schlosser explained how teens back then especially girls would work to attract guys. Teens workers were have no kind of skill including operating the equipment that were used, they had no training necessary and basically had teens working minimum wage and no benefits. I used to work in a fast food industry called Johnny Rockets, one week of working I already quit, and that week was just training. Luckily for those back then didn't need training to get a job.
Another good advertisement to kids was Disney. Since McDonalds was already in its high standard with franchising, Ray Kroc made an inquiry to Disney in having his restaurant in the new park. Both Kroc and Disney were born in Illinois, a year apart from each other. They both dropped out of high school, also was serving together in World War I and later on they became known experts in marketing their products to children. Disney had developed marketing strategies such as sponsoring and making the atmosphere for visitors to feel free from the outside world and coining the "synergy" strategy. (p40)
So the fast food industry had sets of ways in publishing their company and was worth it and their plans had worked. Schlosser is smart in finding the secrets to advertising. Now McDonald has a high percentage and is a big franchising company today and all over the world. Big props to Mcdonalds.

McDonald was a fast food known to many people and loved it especially kids. McDonald's philosophy was quality, service, cleanliness and value which was guided by Ray Kroc founder of McDonald Corporation, which had many things to offers such as the McStore. Since McDonald was hit in the Fast Food Industry, there was another hit too, which was called the Walt Disney Company. They knew that these two source would attract kids and nag their parents to take them. Walt Disney was one of the most entertaining place for children to love. Many parents would feel guilty about spending less time with their kids, mostly spending money on them since Disneyland was expensive to other people who couldn't afford it.

The harder you work the luckier you become was told by Carl Karcher's father. Carl was known for a fast food pioneer, growing up in Ohio. He moved to Anaheim California where his uncle Ben Karcher offered him a job. Anaheim was a place that had 70,000 acres of oranges, also lemon and walnut groves. Carl's uncle owned Karchers feed and seed store, since Carl went to work with his uncle he did 76 hours a week of work, selling all types of farmer goods.Margaret came to the picture where Carl had met and seen her new the St Boniface Catholic Church, which later on got married in 1939 and started and family. Armstrong bakery was where Carl started to work because of a $6 higher pay than when he was working with his uncle. Back then having your own business was a working progress. People tend to change their working satisfaction. In "The Founding Fathers Drive-ins became a hit especially having teens to work to guys get attracted to the girls working, plus the pay for them wasn't high too.

Food is must a throughout my day. I can't go a without food, if I miss a meal its fine, but if I go day without food I'll either be cranky like a child or faint and this has happened to me before. As a Filipino where my parents came from the Philippines they love to eat rice with their meal depending on what kind of food it is.I eat brown rice instead white rice because brown rice is healthier compared to white rice and brown rice makes you full faster. Breakfast is the meal you should never missed but I always do and have brunch instead. I sometimes miss dinner too if i had a big and long meal for lunch, so all i would do is eat a snack for dinner. On the weekends I mostly eat out because I am always hanging or  going out just because I don't want to stay at home. I would always be out with my boyfriend and our friend when we go out and eat or its just me and my boyfriend. I not a huge fan in cooking, when I do cook its just the easy things like boiling pasta and getting preggo sauce and YAY food! My parents are usually the one buying the food for the house, at times I tag along and get snacks for me to eat especially when I eat alone at school when I have  long lunch break. Working in a fast food industry was and is something I will never do again. I used to work at Johnny Rockets for two weeks, mind you that was just those were training weeks. I didn't like it do me always getting nervous around people or shy and might end up spilling something on me. Food is something I love and would never go without it.

Food is our number one priority in America, knowing where our food comes from should be in Americas mind for their safety. F.D.A also known for the Food Drug Administration is a corporate who works with federals, states and local agencies to protect and make food safer. What has caught my attention was how many investigators take their time in working and making sure processed or exported foods are safe. Also the fact with any problems they approach it right away and fix the issue.if we didn't have F.D.A American people would always get sick so having them is a great administration for us to trust and to know what our supply  of food can be forever safe. Some countries don't have F.D.A to protect their food especially poor people such as in the Philippines have to find food some other way where it hasn't been processed by investigators. So I as an American is not worried of my supplies for food and I know there are people who care enough to protect our health known as the F.D.A especially when it comes to cooking food with meat and seafood.
